Support the Martyrs of Pulwama Attack
Over 40 soldiers were killed and about 20 others wounded on 14 February 2019 when an explosive-loaded van rammed into a CRPF paramilitary convoy in Pulwama Districts in Jammu & Kashmir. It was one of the deadliest car bombings in the disputed region’s history. These soldiers were returning to the military camp after a few days of vacation with their families.
VeerNari Shakti Resettlement Foundation, is a government registered and renowned not-for-profit NGO, focusing and supporting resettlement of war/martyr widows ( VeerNaris), including dependents of war-disabled and battle/peace casualties soldiers.
VeerNari does not stop at just giving financial aid to the grieving widows and children instead it focuses on the overall rehabilitation. VeerNari Shakti has partnered with legal experts, psychologists and grooming coaches so that they are able to provide support to these women and help them as they learn to rebuild their lives. The martyr children are given scholarships to that they can start or continue their education seamlessly.
This rehabilitation program is carried out over 6-12 months and the support each widow gets is customised according to her needs and circumstances.
