Transform the lives of underprivileged children - ProjectKHEL
Donations to this NGO have 50% tax exemption for Indian donors.
Adolescents lack crucial Life Skills which restricts them from reaching their full potential. Half the world menstruates, yet it is a taboo topic and young girls do not know how to manage their periods.
Child Sexual Abuse is an unaccepted reality. Children aren't able to speak up and parents aren't willing or do not know how to stand up against it.
Teenage pregnancies, sexual curiosities, poor self image, irresponsible social media usage and so on. Teens have nowhere to turn to get answers to the questions they have and no space to discuss issues openly.
Project KHEL runs Made in Maidan - a regular programme which uses sports, 'play' and a variety of activities including art, music and theatre as means to impart life skills education and build awareness on key issues among underprivileged adolescents.
The RED spot programme conducts awareness workshops and discussion forums on menstrual hygiene. Also; a social media photo campaign to 'Break the Silence' around menstruation.
Ab Bas! is about interactive sessions with children of all age groups on touches, preventive measures, realities, solutions, etc. as well as parents/caretakers helping them start/continue a conversation on this issue with their wards.
Teen Talks are facilitating very fun, frank and open discussion forums for teenagers, discussing topics considered important by other teens as well as topics and questions raised by them during the session.
Made in Maidan imparted life skills education (LSE) to more than 1800 adolescents since inception (July 2012). Currently working with almost 1000 children each week!
The RED spot: 'Breaking the silence' around periods communicated with more than 2200 adolescent girls and women.
Ab Bas! awareness sessions were conducted with 4350 children and over 1000 parents and teachers. Teen Talks discussion forums were organised with more than 1500 teenage girls.
